Karachi: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has said that they could no longer support the Pakistan Peoples Party’s Government as Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza is patronizing notorious criminals in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference MQM provincial minister Raza Haroon along with Haider Abass Rizvi and Faisal Sabzvari said that the MQM had been drawing PPP’s attention toward law and order situation of the city but to no avail.
He said that the MQM believes the Peoples Amn Commtttee was a terrorist organisation involved in extorting and other criminal activities in the city while Mirza was patronizing it publicly.
Given the situation the MQM could no longer support PPP government. Haroon said.
He said that the MQM’s decisiom had been conveyed to the prime minister and the president.
He also said that the MQM provincial ministers had submitted their resignation with the Coordination Committee.
