Islamabad: The federal government on Saturday refused form immediately sacking Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Waseem Ahmed.
The Supreme Court had directed the government to immediately sack the DG in three days saying that he had spoiled many corruption cases.
The Establishment Division submitted a reply with the Supreme Court in this regard.
The reply stated that though DG FIA had been dissociated from the Pakistan Steel, National Insurance Corporation Limited(NICL) and Haj scam cases.
The Establishment Division in its reply further stated that Waseem Ahemd  was monitoring matters of national significance and therefore could not be immediately removed.
