Lahore: An application challenging the law of diplomatic immunity has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) here on Monday.
Advocate Rana Ilmuddin Ghazi filed the petition. LHC Chief Justice Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry approving the petition has summoned Attorney General Pakistan on March 14.
Another application seeking shifting of Raymond Davis from Kot Lakhpat prison to Lahore Fort prison has also been approved for hearing.
The LHC has rejected an application urging that former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and PPP leader Fauzia Wahab be summoned in the court in line with the Davis case.
Justice Chaudhry ruled that the time has not come to summon Qureshi and Fauzia Wahab so far.
