Tripoli: A tribal chief has warned Libyan government that oil supply to Western countries would be stopped if on going turmoil not resolved with in 24 hours.
Unprecedented anti-government protests against Muammar Gaddafi’s four decades long rule are continued in Libya since last Wednesday, The News Tribe correspondent reported.
He said, according to human rights organizations more than 250 people have been killed in clashes between security forces and protesters. The protests also lefts thousands wounded.
Following the revolution in Egypt and Tunisia, Libyan people also took to the streets against the ruling power. The protesters are demanding Gaddafi to leave the power for the better interest of the nation. They carried placards engraved with “Go Gaddafi Go” and we want freedom.
Aeriel firing incident have been reported in several parts of the country, he reported.
Military in the city of Ben Ghazi has also announced rebellion movement against the government.
