Lahore: Punjab senior Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Raja Riaz has termed the allotting of separate seats to the Unification Bloc in Punjab assembly, illegal and demanded of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to direct speaker to withdraw the move.
Speaking to journalist here on Friday he said that the decision would be detrimental for the democracy and democratic institutions in the country.
Replying a query Riaz said that he would offer “Nawafil” if the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parted ways with the PPP in Punjab.
He said that PPP Cochairman Zardari had been continuing with the politics of reconciliation.
The unification Bloc of disgruntled PML-Q MPA’s had submitted to speaker Rana Iqbal an application signed by 47 members, seeking a status in the house separate form its parent party the PML-Q , which was approved on Feb 15 accepting Dr Javed as its parliamentary leader.
