Islamabad: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Secretary General has said that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) by involving former president Pervez Musharraf in the murder of Benazir Bhutto wanted to spare their political masters.
Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said that the FIA is igniting new political confrontation in the country. While expressing severe reservations over the FIA by involving Pervez Musharraf in the murder case of Benazir stated that nation knows, who got personal and political benefit of the BB’s assassination.
He further stated that the FIA officials wanted to hide the real faces involved in the conspiracy of murder, adding that Musharraf has no link in the case. Explaining the position, he said that all the chiefs of the intelligence agencies worked under President, then why would Musharraf contact with an SP level officer.
The secretary general further said that why FIA is trying to involve Musharraf in the assassination case when already the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan had declared Baitullah Mehsud as killer of BB Shaheed.
He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders are incompetent and doing politics of personal interests. The demand from the PML-N to register a case against Musharraf is based on personal enmity, he added.
