Rawalpindi: Adiala Jail’s suspended Superintendent Saeedullah Gondal and deputy superintendent Khalid fled from the police custody from the premises of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench on Wednesday.
The police officers were arrested by the Police last year on the orders of the Supreme Court for not releasing the eleven missing persons despite the court’s orders and allegedly handing over to the intelligence agencies.
Later the two officers were released on bail. Police sources said that the missing person’s counsel pleaded the court to cancel the accused bail; on this the court canceled their bail and directed the police to arrest them.
Police said that the suspended officers fled from the court premises as the court cancelled their bails, adding that Police have arrested the police personnel from their custody they fled and launched an inquiry.
