Lahore: The Mall and adjacent roads leading to the governor’s house have been closed for the traffic and pedestrians in the wake of Namoos-e-Risalat rally on Sunday.A large number of religious parties activists were gathered at Nasir Bagh holding placards and banners.Earlier, Tehrik-e-Namoos-e-Risalat (TNR) has announced to take out the rally from Nasir Bagh to the Assembly Hall and its leadership convened two meetings this week to finalise its strategy for the rally; one at Mansoora while another at Markaz-i-Qadsia, the head office of a banned religious outfit, Jamaatud Dawa.
The TNR invited other political parties, civil society and people from different walks of life to join the rally and many are expected to join the rally today. Amongst these Syed Munwar Hassan, Maulana Fazl Ur Rehman, Dr Abu-ul Khair Zubair, Sajid Naqvi, Professor Sajid Mir, Hafiz Saeed, Ex CM Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and the PML-N trader’s wing is also expected to join.
