Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik s on Saturday dispelled the impression that he was helping the US consulate member Raymond Davis who shot dead two Pakistanis in Punjab’s capital Lahore.
In his policy statement in the National Assembly session Malik said that he had never telephoned any one to release the accused, adding that Davis has been booked in a murder case.
The Minister said that unless the investigation is completed no final word could be said into the matter however the accused claimed the killing in his defence.
He offered that a probe committee should be launched against him as any one thought that he supported the accused.
Later, speaking to media out side the Parliament house the minister said that the government would negotiate with those who saluted the Pakistan flag in Balochistan, adding that the security forces had not killed the civilians in the province instead the Balochistan liberation Army was doing so.
He claimed that the government had recovered blue documents of the conspiracy of dismembering Pakistan from the province and he was ready to brief the media in an in-camera session in this regard.
