Karachi: As many as 4,000 sacked employees of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) on Thursday stormed the company’s main office and ransacked it against their termination.
The outraged mob hurled stones at the MD office, smashing window-panes of the building and put several vehicles on fire parked in and outside the office.
They were chanting slogans against the KESC’s administration and demanding their immediate restoration.
KESC spokeswoman Ayisha Arabi while talking to media said that dozens of officers have been made hostage in the MD office.
