Karachi: Police on Wednesday raided the house of State Minister for Ports and Shipping Sardar Nabil Ahmed Gabol in Khiyaban-e-Ittehad, Defense Housing Authority Karachi, just hours after Nabi Gabol resigned as minister of state for, what he said, being powerless.
Family sources of Nabil Gabol said during the raid police picked up 12 of his bodyguards.
Nabil Gabol said that police in a commando fashion raided his house and detained his guards and took away their weapons.
He claimed that police was also conducting raids for his arrest, saying that he was in Karachi but cannot come to public.
Earlier in the day, Gabol resigned as state minister for Ports and Shipping saying that despite being a minister has was unable to solve the problems being faced by the masses. He said that he did not resign due to differences with the party.
He further said that all the powers were with the Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping and he was powerless and unable to solve even minor issues of his constituents
