London: England on Wednesday announced 15-man squad for the upcoming Cricket World Cup.
Andrew Stauss has been named as captain of the team.
The return of Matt Prior is the major surprise in England’s squad after he was preferred to Steve Devies for the wicket keeper’s role. While Steve Devies has been included in the ODI team against Australia.
Pakistan origin English fast bowler Ajmal Shehzad has also been selected for the Cricket World Cup
England team squad includes Andrew Strauss (Captain), James Anderson, Ian Bell, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Paul Collingwood, Eoin Morgan, Kevin Pietersen, Matt Prior, Ajmal Shahzad, Graeme Swann, James Tredwell, Jonathan Trott, Luke Wright, Michael Yardy
England is placed in group B along side Netherlands, India, Ireland, South Africa, Bangladesh and West indies.
The first match of England will be on 22 February against Netherlands.
