Islamabad: The feasibility report of long-awaited Bunji hydro power project has not been prepared despite lapse of four year and after spending 100 million rupees.
A report of Ministry of Water and Power stated that the total cost of the project has increased up to 100 percent due to delay in the project.
Sources said that the PC-2 of the project could not be placed for approval in the meeting of Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) .
The Bunji project is the largest hydro project of the country with an installed capacity of 7500 megawatt and its construction was announced in four year back, however the authorities seem reluctant to complete the project as they have been failed even to prepare feasibility report despite spending Rs 100 millions.
