KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will announce monetary policy for the next two months on January 29.
Chief SBP spokesman Syed Wasimuddin on Tuesday said that the central bank will announce monetary policy on Jan 29 after review of the policy.
In the last monetary policy review in November, SBP had raised its key discount rate by 50 basis points to 14 percent, due to high inflation caused by excessive government borrowing from the central bank.
