ISLAMABAD: India was asked to convey the results of its investigations into the Samjhauta Express carnage.
The Acting Deputy High Commissioner of India, G. V. Srinivas was called to the Foreign Office by Pakistan’s Director General for South Asia region, Mr. Afrasiab.
According to the Pakistan’s foreign office statement, Srinivas attention was drawn to the recent reports published in media on the investigations into the Samjhauta Express tragedy of February 2007.
It was reiterated to him that the Government of Pakistan was awaiting the progress made by the Government of India in the investigative report of Samjhauta Express blasts.
It was also underlined to Srinivas that a response from the Indian Government may be conveyed at the earliest.
