KARACHI: Senior Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir’s medical report says that he received six bullets in a gun attack he survived on Saturday.
Today’s report contradicts yesterday’s claim that he was shot only three times.
Doctors removed three bullets during the surgery while three still remain in the journalist’s body who does ‘Capital Talk’ on Geo News.
According to the medical report, Hamid Mir was shot six times. One bullet hit Mr. Mir in the ribs under the arm, one in the stomach, one grazed his hand while two pierced his thigh on the front and one on the back of the thigh which doctors have not been able to remove as it is lodged in the bone.
Doctors will take a decision regarding removing the lodged bullet after further examination.
The medical report further says that Mr. Mir’s condition is improving and they are hopeful that he will regain consciousness soon.
Hamid Mir is being treated at Agha Khan Hospital after suriving a gun attack yesterday, when his car was attacked on his way to office from Karachi Airport.
