Peshawar: A US drone on Thursday fired missiles on a house in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region of North Waziristan, allegedly killing key al-Qaeda commander Badr Mansoor and three others, media reports said.
According to reports, the unmanned US spy plane targeted a house located near Miransha bazaar in the hourly hours of Thursday. According to reports, Badar Mansoor was involved in several terror activities inside Pakistan, including an attack on minority worship place in Lahore. Sources said that Mansoor was also affiliated with proscribed Harkatul Mujahedeen.
The attack was the second during the short span of 24 hours in the same area as 10 people were also killed on Wednesday.
Accoprding to reports in Thursday attack the unmanned drone fired two missiles at a house near a market in Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan.
Officials said the death toll could rise because of damage to buildings next to the one targeted by the drone.
