Karachi: A writ petition has been filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC), seeking registration of FIR against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain.
Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) Chief Afaq Ahmed has filed the petition in the court, stating that Altaf Hussain, Muhammad Anwar, Anees Qaimkhani and Haider Abbas Rizvi had hatched a conspiracy for his assassination in 2007 and it had proved in Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report of the alleged target killer Ajmal alias Pahari.
The petition noted that MQM-H headquarters Baitul Hamza was demolished and his two party workers Shahid and Naveed were also killed.
He pleaded that an FIR be lodged against Altaf Hussain, Anees Qaimkhani, Muhammad Anwar and Haiader Abbas Rizvi.
Later on, talking to media Ahmed said that he was being asked to leave the country but he would not do so. Replying a query, he said that he was in favour of local government system.
