Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that its second sit-in in Islamabad would celebrate the Independence Day.
PTI Vice President Akbar Babar announced this while addressing a press conference on Friday.
The PTI leader thanked the people of the twin cities for their massive participation in the first sit-in on August 6. He expressed confidence that the Saturday’s event would attract even bigger participation.
The highlight of the event would be the speech of the Quaid-i-Azam to be aired after hoisting of the national flag by the PTI Chairman Imran Khan exactly at midnight. The PTI Chairman would announce the next phase of the ‘hakumat hatao mulk bachao movement’.
Special events have been planned to entertain and enlighten the participants about the struggle for Pakistan that led to the creation of an independent Muslim state in South Asia.
The PTI Chairman is expected to announce the framework of a new Pakistan that is free from corruption and exploitation and where all Pakistanis irrespective of their religious or other beliefs are equal before law.
The PTI chairman would take a solemn pledge from the participants to launch a decisive movement to remove the present corrupt and inept government from power after Eid-ul-Fitr.
