104 years before, this tragic incident occurred and contained infliction which marks it one of the greatest tragedies of world. The luxury passenger liner, Titanic sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in the early morning of 15th April, 1912. Here is what happened after she sank,
Near midnight, on April 14, 1912 an ice berg was spotted ahead of the Titanic which was in full speed on her voyage to New York. Two hours and forty minutes later, she disappeared in waves.
Out of 2,224 people only 700 could make it to lifeboats. Others were left to the mercy of chilly waters of North Atlantic.
The survivors were seen by another ship, Carpathia and they went aboard.
“Titanic foundered about 2:30 AM April 15. About 675 crew and passengers picked up… Names of those saved will be posted as soon as received.” Bulletin at White Star Office, Southampton.
