Peshawar: The Tribal Peace Jirga has urged the government, Pakistan Army and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to stop violence and military operation and tried to extend ceasefire to make peace dialogue successful.
Jamaat-e-Islami today arranged the jirga of tribal elders and ulema in Peshawar’s Nishtar Hall today to give recommendation to the government by the natives.
A declaration has been issued at the end of the jirga in which the Tribal Jirga has supported the dialogue process between the government the TTP, adding that the Army should also be included for the success of the peace process.
According to the declaration, Â the Jirga also endorsed the resolution approved by the Parliament and All Parties Conferences (APC) which supported to solve the problem through dialogues.
The Jirga also demanded constitutional, political, economic and education reforms in FATA and pushed government for to make legislation to enhance representation of trial areas in the Parliament and the judiciary.
