MATHURA: An FIR has been filed against Hema Malini, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mathura Lok Sabha constituency, for violating model code of conduct, media reported.
“Malini addressed an election meeting on Saturday in Sri Ji Baba Saraswati Vidya Mandir during school hours. Her audience included school students. An FIR was filed against her in this connection,” Model Code of Conduct In-charge ADM Dhirendra Sachan explained.
However a formal permission was taken from the election commission before the meeting but the venue and audience was not defined in the request, Sachan added.
And election commission has made it clear that election meeting in a school during school hours would be considered as violation of model code of conduct.
