PESHAWAR: At least six persons were killed, reportedly belonging to banned militant outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in a powerful bomb explosion in the Pakistan’s North Waziristan Agency (NWA), governmental sources said.
A powerful roadside bomb explosion occurred in Shawal area of the agency today; killing at least 6 militants reportedly belonging to Shehreyar group of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), local news channel said.
The incident took place after emergence of ongoing fights between two militant groups including Sajna and Shehreyar groups in South and North Waziristan agencies.
A car was targeted via explosives by the unknown persons which was connected with a remote controlled device.
In last two incidents, at least 15 persons had been killed in different attacks between the warring groups in South Waziristan besides an attempt of establishing ceasefire which subsequently seemed failed by the senior leadership.
