FAISALABAD: Pakistan Railway has resumed cargo trains service after long period of two years.
Railway employees and workers were very jubilant on the occasion and they thanked and appreciated the efforts of Federal Railway Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique and railway officials.
Goods train contained 72 containers of imported goods.
Workers at the dry port expressed that the resumption of service made possibilities to spread transportation of import and export.
They further said that the move will also raise the income of railway as well.
They demanded daily good train service for Faisalabad from Karachi.
Shortage of locomotives in May 2011 had forced the railways administration to suspend all the cargo trains from Karachi.
