Washington: Nokia gearing up to launch its first Windows phablet, image and AT&T pricing leaked.
Nokia likely to become the first company to launch Windows powered phablet. The device will be called Nokia Lumia 1520 and one of the hot favorite to debut on company’s 22 October event, according to “Technotribe“.
With Microsoft’s announcement of its Windows Phone GDR3 update, Nokia can officially launch its highly-anticipated and much-rumored Lumia 1520 phablet. The company is widely believed to use Nokia World, which kicks off on Oct. 22 to announce the smartphone. Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone update adds several features and support for new hardware, including HD displays and quad-core processors.
A new report reveals some details on what we can expect to pay for the Lumia 1520 when it’s released. The site claims that AT&T will launch the Lumia 1520 in the second week of November and will charge $299 with a new 2-year contract or $699 off-contract. The report also gives more insight on the type of camera and what its available features will bring to users.
The publication claims the Nokia Lumia 1520 will have a 6-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 resolution, PureMotion HD+ and a pixel density of 367 pixels per inch (ppi). It will be powered by a 2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 2GB of RAM. It will be available in 32GB and 64GB of internal storage and will also include a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 32GB microSD cards.
Nokia is also including a 20.7-megapixel PureView rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics, improved Panorama and optical image stabilization (OIS). It will include 1.8X lossless zoom for still images, 4X for 720p video capture, improved saturation settings and a dual-capture mode of 5-megapixel and 16-megapixel images.
The Lumia 1520 will ship with a large 3,400 mAh battery and will be offered in three colors: yellow, white, and black.
The specs fall in line with previously-reported information and are likely the Lumia 1520’s official and final hardware specs. Of course we’ll have to wait until Oct. 22 to hear it officially from Nokia and we’ll be sure to update you on all the news out of Nokia World.
