ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held important meeting with the country’s top military and intelligence officials in Islamabad on Tuesday.
PM Nawaz Sharif headed a high-level meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and the Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG-ISI) Lieutenant General Zaheerul Islam.
The meeting’s agenda was to hold discussion over the regional and country’s security matters as well as the PM’s upcoming visit to the United States of America (USA), sources said.
Various issues related to the security situations of Pakistan were discussed with the top military leadership during the meetings including the initiation of peace dialogues with Taliban.
PM Nawaz Sharif has scheduled a visit to US on October 23 for holding talks to strengthen bilateral releationship and expansion in trade, investment sectors as well as interact with American business leaders.
