ISLAMABAD: French Ambassador Philippe Theibaud said that France can consider for provision of assistance in civil nuclear technology to Pakistan if requested.
Ambassador Philippe Theibaud said that France have not received any formal request from Pakistan seeking cooperation in civil nuclear sector but if contacted, they will consider the provision in accordance to international safeguards.
The ambassador revealed his French government’s stance while talking to media in an event organised by Schneider Electric entitled ‘World of energy efficiency for a better Pakistan’.
Moreover, Theibaud favoured the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project by saying that the country is independent for making such decisions to elimination energy crisis.
France is providing around $300 million of loan and grant for different hyderpower projects on simple conditions in order to assist Pakistan for eliminating menace of energy crisis.
