LONDON: Chief of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain, has voluntarily stepped down from his post, a local channel reported.
Talking to Geo News, Hussain said one of his houses was raided by the London police in the ongoing case of MQM’s slain leader Imran Farooq, and it was not a morally good for a leader that he continues to head a party after such an incident.
He said he would fight Farooq’s murder case by himself and would not seek help from any lawyer, barrister or solicitor if it was presented in any court.
He said he would accept the court’s decision no matter it was for or against him.
He appealed his followers to not lack confidence and continue struggle for the right cause.
