Karachi: After conclusion of polling at the 43 polling stations of NA-250, counting is continue showing a lead of Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf candidate Dr. Arif Alvi.
Other parties including Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Jamaat e Islami have boycotted the polling.
From PS-113, Pakistan Peoples Party Samar Ali Khan is leading, according to initial counting of votes.
Long Queues at polling stations
Amid continuous sit-ins and protests from various political parties, polls have been conducted in NA-250 constituency of Karachi, the port city of the country.
Polling starts in early morning with long queues could be seen in front polling stations of the constituency.

Re-polling at 43 polling stations in NA-250 and in provincial assembly seats PS-112 and PS-113 is likely to add few national and provincial assemblies’ seat to Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf’s present figure.
After announcement of boycott from Muttahida Qaumi Movement, PTI’s Dr. Arif Alvi may win from the constituency comprehensively.
Other candidates from the constituency include Pakistan Peoples Party’s Rashid Hussain Rabbani while MQM’s Khushbakht Shujaat has withdrawn the seat after boycott from her party.
According to sources, out of 180 polling stations, polling has been completed in 137 polling stations which shows a tough competition between PTI’s Dr. Arif Alvi and MQM’s Khushbakht; however, after the boycott from the latter one, Dr. Alvi’s chances for win has manifolded.
