ISLAMABAD: In the latest of general election developments, nomination papers of Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf, Imran Khan were challenged, while rejection of documents of Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf was questioned before the returning officer.

Former army chief Gen. (retd) Musharraf’s counsel, Ahmed Raza Kasuri submitted his stance on the non-acceptance of papers, terming it unconstitutional and illegal. He said that no returning officer has the right to deny the papers on a mere allegation.
He termed transparent and fair trial right of every person.
Meanwhile, the nomination papers of PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi were challenged in the constituency of NA56.
