ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has extended the deadline for submission of nomination papers till midnight.
Today (Sunday) has been set as the last day by the Election Commission of Pakistan to receive nomination paper from candidates all over the country for the forthcoming general elections.
The process of scrutiny of the paper will commence tomorrow and will continue until 7th, while the first phase of the process has already been completed.
The ECP’s scrutiny cell consists of the representatives of the commission, National Database and Registration Authority, Federal Board of Revenue, State Bank of Pakistan and National Accountability Bureau.
The commission has set April 8-10 as the date to file appeals against the papers.
