Hangu: At least 22 people were killed and 50 others injured in an bomb explosion, suspected to be a suicidal, outside a Mosque here after Friday prayers.
The District Police Officer (DPO) Hangu said that the bomb was planted outside the Mosque situated in Pat Bazaar, which blew with a big bang as soon as the worshipers came out of the prayer area. As a result, at least 22 people were killed and 50 injured.
Police and rescue teams reached the site of the blast and shifted the killed and 35 injured to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) while five wounded were taken to Baab-Ul-Islam Hospital.
The DPO said that police was investigating the matter as the blast might be a suicide attack.
