Bhalwal: At least eight people including five women of a family were gunned down and 4 others sustained injuries over land conflict in Bhalwal tehsil of Sargodha district of Pakistan Punjab province on Tuesday, police said.
The police said that the incident was a result of land conflict between two a brother and sister. They added that Munawar, the brother, resident of Sialkot, along with his seven armed friends attacked sister’s house in Bhalwal and opened fire on the family when they were sleeping in their home in Chak 6 North.
SSP Sargodha said that bodies and injured had been shifted to the District Headquarter hospital while the investigations are being carried out. He added that the accused would be arrested soon.
“Five members of the family were died at the spot while two women and a man succumbed to their injuries during treatment in hospital,” the police said.
