We often disrespect copper coins. But after this amazing incident I am sure you all will save one small penny with full zeal and zest.
A 35-year-old childish hobby turns fruitful for a Massachusetts man as he paid off his mortgage with 800 pounds of pennies. Thomas Daigle was very pleased to pay his last mortgage payment on the home he purchased in 1977 was something he had always wanted to do in order to make that special day even more memorable.
Thomas Daigle, on his 35th wedding anniversary, delivered two 400-pound boxes holding more than 62,000 pennies onto the steps of Milford Federal savings and Loan Association to make the last payment on the home he purchased when he got married to Sandra.
His wife often cracked jokes on his action of saving pennies but this starts as a hobby in rainy days, turn into passion than obsession in order to get relief from the loan.
He reportedly said “I always wanted to follow through, the only thing that frightened me that I didn’t die before this day.”
So, from now onwards pick the coins from the floor or search it in your cabinets may one day those pennies pay back you like Thomas Daigle.
