Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Thursday issued an executive order stating that all Nato containers present with in the limits of the country should be released without wasting any time.
According to sources, the order came after former US ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter met PM Ashraf on Thursday and told him that instead of restoration of Nato supplies to Afghanistan, only four containers have passed through the territory of Pakistan.
Munter told PM that almost 1582 Nato containers were present inside Pakistan and the authorities were not letting them to cross Pak-Afghan border.
The executive order stated that all departments and government officials are directed to allow Nato containers to travel to Afghanistan.
