Quetta: Balochistan’s Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd presented annual budget 2012-13 with outlay of Rs179 billion in the provincial assembly on Monday.
In his budget speech, Kurd said that the proposed development expenditures amount to Rs35.81 billion, while the non-development expenditures at over Rs144 billion.
Kurd, while presenting the fifth budget of the government said though that the economy was in tatters four years ago, the government tried to overcome the situation by laying a network of development projects.
He proposed Rs9.78 billion for health and Rs13 billion for law and order.
