Washington: The United States has again made it clear to Pakistan that Raymond Davis, accused of killing two Pakistanis in Lahore on January 27, was a US diplomat in Pakistan and no compromise would be done regarding Davis immunity.
White House Spokesman Jay Carney has said this in a press conference in Washington. He said according to Vienna Convention Davis has diplomatic immunity and Pakistan could not detain under the law.
However, discussing the position of Libya, he said that Obama administration is examining sanctions against Libya as an uprising against Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi continues. He said all the options, including military operation and making Libya no fly zone, are under consideration.
