Islamabad: Soon after the judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in contempt case, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that verdict against him is not appropriate.
Talking to Pakistan’s private news television Geo News, the PM said that he had sought justice from the court, adding that he had hoped of fulfillment of law and constitution.
Earlier, seven-member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk convicted the prime minister for contempt of court for not writing letter to Swiss officials.
The court punished the prime minister till the rising of the court and convicted him according to Article 63-1G of the constitution.
