Herat: Two Nato tankers were torched in Afghanistan after the Taliban militants attacked a group of tankers transporting fuel to US-led forces, Press TV reported.
The militants used rocket-propelled grenade to destroy the tankers in Gozare town, locals said.
The Gozare governor said that two other tankers were also damaged though nobody was hurt.
The Herat-Kandahar highway became insecure after the incident, putting a security threat on the tankers supplying fuel to Nato forces.
Despite the fact that there are hundreds and thousands of US-led soldiers in the region, insecurity is looming large in the already crisis-stricken Afghanistan.
