Pakistan’s Atif Butt Wins Tekken 8 Tournament in Florida

Daytona Beach: Pakistan’s Atif Butt emerged victorious in his first-ever Tekken 8 tournament at the prestigious CEO 2024 event on Sunday. Held in Daytona Beach, Florida, the tournament saw Atif deliver an exceptional performance, defeating top contenders to claim the title.

Atif Butt dominated the semi-final by defeating Keisuke with a 2-0 score and went on to beat Doujin 3-1 in the final. In a thrilling grand final rematch against Keisuke, who had advanced from the losers’ final after a 3-0 victory over Doujin, Atif secured a 3-2 win to clinch the championship.

The tournament featured 60 participants from various countries, including Japan, Korea, the United Kingdom, and the USA. With this victory, Atif has earned over $6,000 in prize money and has qualified for the eSports World Cup in Riyadh, scheduled from July 3 to August 25.

CEO 2024 holds significant importance as a Master Event on the Tekken World Tour for Tekken 8. Atif Butt, along with Arslan Ash, is considered one of the finest Tekken players to emerge from Pakistan. He rose to prominence after winning the Tekken World Tour 2022 Finals, where he bested top players, including South Korea’s Jeon DDing, in the grand finals.

Atif Butt’s latest triumph at CEO 2024 further cements his status as a leading figure in the global Tekken community, and he is set to make his mark at the upcoming eSports World Cup.
