Peshawar: Good news comes in for Pakistan’s energy sector as new oil and gas reserves have been discovered in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to details, oil and gas reserves have been found in the Chanda-7 well in the Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In a letter sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) by the Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC), it was reported that the Chandna Seven well in Kohat district contains 305 barrels of crude oil per day.
Additionally, The Chandna Seven well contains reserves of 2.5 million cubic feet of gas, and 3 metric tons of LPG will also be obtained from the well. According to the letter’s text, the well has been connected to the plant through a 1.3-kilometer flow line, and the quantity of gas obtained from the new reserve has started being supplied to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.
