Ban on Meeting Prisoners in Adiala Jail has been Lifted, Including for Imran Khan

Rawalpindi: The two-week ban imposed on meetings with other prisoners in Adiala Jail, including the founder chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has been lifted.

According to a private TV channel’s report, the ban on meetings with prisoners in Adiala Jail was imposed by the Punjab government on March 12 due to security concerns, which has now been lifted upon its expiry, allowing meetings with prisoners to resume.

The purpose behind the authorities’ decision to impose a ban on meetings was to ensure the security of over 7,000 prisoners, including former Prime Minister Imran Khan, in Adiala Jail.
