Washington: During a hearing conducted by the US Congress Committee focusing on the 2024 general elections in Pakistan, US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs Donald Lu made startling revelations regarding India’s alleged involvement in state terrorism within the United States.
A hearing was held in the American Congressional Committee regarding the general elections in Pakistan in 2024, during which Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairs Donald Lu also appeared and recorded his statement on the matter.
Addressing the committee, Lu clarified that the US played no part in the removal of PTI founder Imran Khan from the Prime Minister’s post in Pakistan. However, the most significant disclosure came when Lu confirmed India’s purported state terrorism activities on US soil.
The American Assistant Secretary of State also confirmed state terrorism by India within America and informed the committee that officials of the Indian government were involved in the conspiracy to assassinate the American citizen Gurpatwant Singh. This revelation sheds light on a grave matter that the US has taken up with the Indian government.
The revelation follows a report from a British newspaper in November of the previous year, which detailed US authorities thwarting a plot to assassinate Sikh separatist leader Gurpatwant Singh.
Emphasizing the severity of the issue, Lu highlighted that the matter has been formally addressed with both the Modi government in India and Indian authorities. He issued a stern warning against any further involvement in such conspiracies, underscoring the gravity of the situation for the United States.
