Peshawar: The meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to sight the moon for Ramadan will be held in Peshawar on Monday, March 11 (today). Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, the chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, will preside over the meeting.
Speaking to the media, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad expressed hope that Ramadan will begin on the same day across the country. He mentioned that according to the designated Muslim calendar, Ramadan’s first fast will be observed on March 11 in America and Canada.
The Meteorological department has forecasted that the moon will be sighted on March 11 in Pakistan.
It should be noted that the moon has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, after which the first fast will be observed in Saudi Arabia, Britain, Australia, and Egypt tomorrow.
