New York: A few days after the announcement of the sale of tickets for the T20 Cricket World Cup matches, the price of tickets for the Pakistan-India match has been set at over $50,000 (PKR 13.91 million).
According to a report by USA Today, ticket sales started at $6 in the official sale, with the most expensive premium ticket priced at $400. Tickets are being resold on websites such as StubHub and SeatGeek.
America is hosting its first ICC cricket tournament this year in partnership with the West Indies as co-hosts. From June 1st to June 29th, 55 matches will be played in Texas, New York, and Florida. New York City will host the showdown between Pakistan and India on June 9th.
The cheapest ticket for the high-voltage game was being resold on StubHub for $1,259. It is noteworthy that the International Cricket Council (ICC) had stated that no additional fees would be charged beyond the specified taxes. However, the most expensive ticket for the Pakistan-India match is around $175,000, with a fees of $50,000.
The cheapest ticket for the match on SeatGeek was for $1,166 without taxes or fees until Friday afternoon.
