Caretaker Government Raises Petrol Price Further Before It Bids Farewell

Islamabad: In a parting blow to the people, the departing caretaker government has dropped another petrol bomb on the public. The price of petrol will increase further for the next fifteen days.

The caretaker government has kept the current price of diesel stable in the country while increasing the price of petrol. After approval from the caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a formal notification for the revision of petroleum product prices.

According to the notification issued by OGRA, the price of petrol in the country has been increased by Rs. 4.13 per liter, while the current price of high-speed diesel remains stable at Rs. 287.33 per liter.

After the increase in petrol prices, the new price has been set at Rs. 279.75 per liter. The application of these prices will came into effect last night at 12 o’clock.
