Pakistan’s First Air Taxi Service Launched in Karachi

Karachi: Pakistan’s first air taxi service has been launched in Karachi, the country’s largest city and commercial hub.

The pioneering air taxi service promises adventure and convenience, catering to both adventure enthusiasts and those in need of emergency health transportation. The inaugural flight, which departed from Karachi, provided passengers with a mesmerizing 45-minute journey over the city, showcasing its beauty from a unique vantage point.

Initially, this facility will be available in Sindh and Balochistan, however, SkyWings Aviation’s CEO, Imran Aslam Khan, shared his ambitious vision for the service, indicating plans for expansion into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, ensuring accessibility for travelers across Pakistan.

The company officials stated that the fare for the air taxi service would be Rs. 95,000 per hour, and up to 3 individuals can simultaneously enjoy aerial views of the city of Quaid and the surrounding areas. Beyond its practical benefits, the air taxi service is poised to boost tourism by showcasing Pakistan’s scenic beauty from a unique aerial perspective.

In case of the successful operation of the pilot service introduced in two provinces, the air taxi service will also be introduced in other provinces, including KPK and Punjab. The private company Skywings has started operations for booking the air taxi service on its website.
