Army Chief Asim Munir Meets ASP Sherbano Naqvi

Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir met with the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. Shehrbano Naqvi, who recently displayed exemplary bravery by rescuing a woman from a violent mob in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar, was commended for her courageous act during the meeting with General Asim Munir on Wednesday.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), ASP Shehrbano Naqvi had a significant discussion with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters, where her valorous actions were lauded and appreciated for the professional skills of ASP from Bannu. He praised her dedication and resilience, which has distinguished her both domestically and internationally.

Asim Munir emphasized that women are a unique part of our society, and our religion Islam has taught us to respect women and acknowledge their prominent role in the development of society.

Furthermore, the COAS underscored the significance of upholding the rule of law and discouraged arbitrary actions, emphasizing the need for adherence to legal channels for addressing grievances. He cautioned against taking matters into one’s own hands, stating that such actions could erode the societal fabric and undermine the collective well-being of the nation.

General Asim Munir reiterated Islam’s fundamental principles of compassion and tolerance, emphasizing the importance of fostering social harmony and promoting mutual understanding among all segments of society. Additionally, he expressed appreciation for the sacrifices made by law enforcement agencies in ensuring the safety and security of Pakistani citizens.
