Karachi: In an incident at a private hotel in the Saddar area of Karachi the elevator collapsed, resulting in three individuals getting injured, including two athletes who had come to participate in the Sindh Games.
According to details, authorities stated that the incident of the elevator falling occurred due to the entry of more individuals than the capacity of the elevator. Provincial Minister for Sports Junaid Ali Shah stated that the condition of the injured is improving.
He mentioned that the incident occurred due to overcrowding in the elevator, which had a capacity of 3 people but had 8 to 9 people onboard. The hotel management had also been informed about the capacity limit of the lift.
According to officials, those injured in the incident of the elevator falling had arrived in Karachi from Mirpurkhas to participate in the Sindh Games. Among them were two weightlifting athletes and one secretary. one secretary.
