Multan: The founder of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) Jahangir Tareen, has stepped down from IPP leadership and resigned from politics.
According to details, Jahangir Khan Tareen has resigned from politics following his failure in the recent general elections, in which he lost in both NA-149 and NA-155 constituencies against PTI-backed independent and PML-N candidates.
Jahangir Tareen announced his resignation from politics on the social media platform ‘X’ where he said, “I would like to thank everyone who supported me in this election and want to offer my congratulations to my opponents. I have immense respect for the will of the people of Pakistan. Therefore, I have decided to resign from my position as Chairman IPP and step away from politics altogether.”

He further stated, “My gratitude to all the members of IPP. I wish them the absolute best. By the Grace of Allah, I will continue to serve my country to the best of my ability in a private capacity.”
Furthermore, he wished well for the prosperity of Pakistan in the future.
